Make some sweet forest loving
Posted by jamie on 31 July 2008.
The bad news is that the vote on illegal timber amongst members of the European Commission has been delayed (they're looking at legislation to ban dodgy wood from Europe) and now probably won't take place until September. The good news is that it gives us all a chance to have some fun in the meantime (and do some creative campaigning at the same time).
We all love forests and we want you to show the powers that be in the EU just how much. The forests have already made their own effort, but here's what we'd like you to do:
- Take pictures and/or videos of yourself and your friends spreading the love in a forest.
- Submit your pictures to the Flickr group or post your video as an answer to ours.
- Write to EC president José Manuel Barroso.
We'll mix everything together into a collaborative video that we'll show to the European Commission in September, and if you haven't already, don't forget to write to them.
Now get out there and have some forest lovin' fun.
Those who still think piano legs should be concealed or are of a tender age should look away now...
And here's the EU's own video it was inspired by.
